Trying to get back into the things that I used to enjoy/spend hours doing ... Since my diagnosis in Sept. 2007, I haven't really been myself. I had a habit of forcing myself take the time to create new things - artwork, crochet, beading, music - but it seems that I am unable to "get in the zone" and let things flow. My mind can't focus. I get frustrated by anything that seems to be a setback (a fractal that I can't instantly get the colours just the way I want them, etc)and I give up. I've lost track of the projects I've abandonned before they'd even really begun. Anyhow, here's hoping that I can relight my creative spark's pilot light.

My muse took a vacation ... the truth is, I'm back to work full-time and it's been somewhat of a struggle. I'm still having bad days where I just want to stay in bed and sleep. Anyhow - Blessed Yule, Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah ... and may your New Year be full of happiness, good health, and general wonderfulness.

It's been one helluva weekend ... Got an email from my little sister in the US saying that our mom had a bad cough. By the time I got through to my dad (3 am here), things had progressed ... he told me she was going in for a heart operation the next day at 7 am (CST). I don't want to know what my phone bills (home and mobile) are going to look like :( Mom is now recovering nicely. I'm just trying to get my body used to keeping normal hours after spending 4 days trying to live on US time.
